Married at First Sight’s Owen Jenkins and Michelle Walder have announced they are pregnant with their first child.
The couple were married mere minutes after meeting on MAFS back in 2020.
One of the few couples to have gone the distance after appearing on the reality dating series, the couple shared the news on social media this week that they were welcoming a new addition to their family.
Sharing a snap of the pair outside with IT worker Owen, 34, holding two bags of ice, teacher Michelle, 28, cradled her growing bump.
Also posting a second snap of an ultrasound scan, the couple wrote: “So, we’ve got news… #mafsuk #mafsbaby #mafsukbaby #comingdecember2023.’
Their post was flooded with messages of support, including from other former MAFS participants.
‘You’ll both be incredible parents!, wrote Paul Brunson, who appeared on the fourth season of the show.
‘Congrats guys!,’ wrote Adam Aveling, who appeared on season six and welcomed baby Beau with wife Tayah Victoria last year.
Fans of the couple also jumped in, with one writing: ‘Awww I have followed you since you appeared on the show and this is amazing news! Really happy for you both.’
Shortly after getting hitched, Michelle moved from Sussex to Sheffield to live with Owen as the lockdowns during the pandemic were introduced.
Celebrating their two-year anniversary in January last year, Michelle wrote on Instagram: ‘Two years since I found out I was marrying this handsome man. When I sit back and think about it, the last two years really do blow my mind.’

‘I find it INSANE the fact that I didn’t know anything about him except that first name, and now we’ve been married almost two years and lived in our new home for one!’
She added: ‘Owen is so incredibly kind, silly, funny, thoughtful, loving, handsome (and annoying…) and I feel just so incredibly lucky every day.”
