Coronation Street spoilers: Mary in shock after discovering betrayal | Soaps

A few weeks ago in Coronation Street, Brian Packham (Peter Gunn) made the discovery that he has a relative in Italy.

He was initially planning on going to see Isabella, but after she revealed problems with renovating her flat, she ended up travelling to Weatherfield instead.

While meeting Isabella has been exciting for Brian, Mary (Patti Clare) turns detective in upcoming episodes and can’t help but wonder if Isabella is hiding something.

In the café, when Brian introduces Isabella to Glenda (Jodie Prenger) and Bernie (Jane Hazlegrove), Glenda tries to engage in a conversation about Italy, but Isabella doesn’t seem that interested.

When Brian admires George’s (Tony Maudsley) model of the Golden Hind, Isabella picks up on the funeral director’s cocky attitude.

She decides to secretly super-glue the model ship to the table but as a consequence, Brian tries to lift George’s model off the table, causing a chunk to snap off in his hands!

Later in the week, Mary notices Isabella and her sticky fingers but chooses to let it go, for Brian’s sake.

It becomes apparent that Isabella has picked up on Mary’s suspicions, as she asserts that she can’t wait for Brian to visit her in Naples but makes it clear that Mary isn’t invited.
