President Joe Biden gave the media a little lesson in how to better cover him over the weekend, all while perched on his bicycle.

The spry President affably took questions from reporters during a bike ride Sunday evening in Gordons Pond State Park near his home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware.

While clearly in a good mood after celebrating Mother’s Day with First Lady Jill Biden and their family, President Biden directed some barbs at the gaggle regarding the lifting of Title 42.

Asked how things were going at the border, the President replied, “Much better than you all expected.”

MAGA Republicans had manufactured more of their usual border outrage, predicting a massive migrant movement causing further chaos at the Mexico-U.S. crossings.

That’s major MAGA red meat with several side dishes, you know. Gotta feed that outrage machine.

But instead, things were much more calm than expected: in just two days, migrant crossings dropped by more than half.

U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas said border patrol agents have seen a 50% drop in the number of migrants crossing the border since Thursday when Title 42 ended.

“The numbers we have experienced in the past two days are markedly down over what they were prior to the end of Title 42,” Mayorkas said

Sec. Mayorkas said there were 6,300 border encounters on Friday and 4,200 on Saturday, but cautioned it was “still early” under the new rules.

The President pointedly told the press on Sunday night that there’s a reason he has no immediate plans to visit the border.

“Not in the near term, no. It would just be disruptive.”

The President also said that while the numbers at the border have gone down, “We have a lot more work to do. We need some more help from the Congress”

Asked about the ongoing debt ceiling negotiations with House Republicans, the President was a bit more coy.

“It’s never good to characterize a negotiation in the middle of the negotiations,” the President said.

“I remain optimistic because I am a congenital optimist. But I really think there is a desire on their part as well as ours to reach an agreement. And I think we’ll be able to do it.”

Tell that to “Weaker Speaker” Kevin McCarthy, who tweeted a nonsensical and rather petty response to the lack of chaos he was hoping for.

“Another terror suspect made it across our border illegally,” McCarthy wrote. “Who are they NOT catching?”

“Who are they not catching?” is like asking “What about the millions of babies who never had a chance to be born because some guy ejaculates into a sock?”

More Biden on a bike, fewer compromised kooks in Congress, please.
